Measuring Guide for Compression Stockings

Measuring your legs for compression stockings, support socks, support hose, and gradient compression hosiery:.

  • For knee-highs: measure around your ankle and calf. Then, measure the distance from the floor to the back of your knee.
  • For thigh-high and pantyhose: measure around your ankle, calf, and upper thigh. Then, measure the distance from the floor to your upper thigh (bottom of your buttocks).

An Important Measuring Tip...
If swelling is an issue with you, measure your legs, first thing in the morning, after you get out of bed. This is when swelling is at a minimum, and the size of your legs should remain once the swelling is eliminated. Each of our compression products has a sizing chart on the product page.

Measure around the ankle at the narrowest point, generally above the ankle bone.
Measure around the calf muscle at the widest part.
Measure from the floor to the bend behind the knee.
Measure around the thigh approx. 3" below the gluteal fold (crease of buttocks).
Measure the distance from the bottom of your buttocks to the floor.

Sizes may differ between various brands of support stockings. Keep in mind that each manufacturer of support hose has their own sizing chart. A medium size in one brand of circulation stockings, may not be a medium in another. Some brands of compression stockings offer petite (shorter) lengths, while others do not. Knowing your measurements will ensure you get compression hosiery that fits properly and comfortably.

These pantyhose are impossible to wear, yet there are no refunds! It is not clearly stated either. The material is like rubber that balloons are made of, and you can't even get them over your foot, much less you legs! So, no refund, and I am stuck with a useless pair of stockings! Bad business, and a horrible product, with absolutely no help at all! Just out the money I spent, period...

By far, the best low cost sheer compression stockings I've ever worn!

I was looking for compression stockings that would offer the support I need, but also look elegant, and the "sheer" does just that.

Comfort, support, and style all in one!

I'm an elderly lady with deep vein thrombosis, and Sheer has made it convenient to treat the condition, while still looking elegant.

I'm a long time suffering of leg swelling, but only after a few days of wearing these, the swelling and pain of subsided!

These pantyhose are the worst product I ever bought, they are way too thick, not sheer at all, and very uncomfortable (they make folds in the back of my knees which need to be stretched continuously, because it hurts), and there are lots of spare fabric in the area of the toes which look absolutely ridiculous. Where did they get that idea? And these pantyhose are much more expensive than other good quality pantyhose you can get at Amazon (so you basically pay for poor quality). Now, customer service- there is an unbelievably rude guy, Matt, who just hangs up on you. And If you want to reach a supervisor, you better forget about it right there, because it will never happen. I did not return these ugly pantyhose only because I did not want to deal with them again, one time was more than enough. I've wasted over $60, lots of time, and nerves dealing with them.
Their return policy - draconic! You pay for shipping an item back and they deduct a shipping fee(!?) from your refund! (how about that?). Also, you can't get your money back, only a store credit. But discounts won't be applied if you want to purchase something using your store credit. The long story short - this is the worst site/customer service ever, I WILL NOT buy anything there ever again, I WILL NOT recommend it even to my worst enemy, I whish I never looked at this site!!!
