Measuring Guide for Compression Stockings

Measuring your legs for compression stockings, support socks, support hose, and gradient compression hosiery:.

  • For knee-highs: measure around your ankle and calf. Then, measure the distance from the floor to the back of your knee.
  • For thigh-high and pantyhose: measure around your ankle, calf, and upper thigh. Then, measure the distance from the floor to your upper thigh (bottom of your buttocks).

An Important Measuring Tip...
If swelling is an issue with you, measure your legs, first thing in the morning, after you get out of bed. This is when swelling is at a minimum, and the size of your legs should remain once the swelling is eliminated. Each of our compression products has a sizing chart on the product page.

Measure around the ankle at the narrowest point, generally above the ankle bone.
Measure around the calf muscle at the widest part.
Measure from the floor to the bend behind the knee.
Measure around the thigh approx. 3" below the gluteal fold (crease of buttocks).
Measure the distance from the bottom of your buttocks to the floor.

Sizes may differ between various brands of support stockings. Keep in mind that each manufacturer of support hose has their own sizing chart. A medium size in one brand of circulation stockings, may not be a medium in another. Some brands of compression stockings offer petite (shorter) lengths, while others do not. Knowing your measurements will ensure you get compression hosiery that fits properly and comfortably.

I absolutely love these hose, and I honestly wouldn't wear anything else. They're totally stylish, and they match a lot of my dress clothes.

I was looking for a sheer support hosiery for the longest time that wasn't going to look like traditional 'support hosiery', and when I found these they were exactly what I wanted.

The only hose I wear with my dress clothes. They're comfortable, affordable, they look great, and best of all, they help with my aching leg problems.

Sure, these look great, but what I'd really like to talk about is the comfort. I've had a difficult time finding circulation hose that feel basically like regular hosiery, but these do. They aren't binding, they don't squeeze me at the top, and they're breathable. Such things do exist. Amen for comfort!

Well I as well LOVE Sigvaris & I just wish that my Dr carried the open toed knee highs I used to purchase from him, but they used to be $50.00 a pair & now they're $80.00!

I'm still going to buy 2 pairs but I've been trying for I don't know how long now & the system keeps telling me I need to agree with the terms & conditions, because I'm actually exchanging them for 2 pairs that I thought were just like the ones I had purchased a few yrs ago at my Dr's!

I would chat with someone but they are rude, I've called & NO one can be reached!

Sorry compression.com your sight SUCKS & at least the agents on chat REALLY REALLY NEED CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING!!! I'm HUGE on Custer Service & im just praying that Amazon has the ones I need next time!!!

Also why have a number for customer service when it doesn't transfer???
