Measuring Guide for Compression Stockings

Measuring your legs for compression stockings, support socks, support hose, and gradient compression hosiery:.

  • For knee-highs: measure around your ankle and calf. Then, measure the distance from the floor to the back of your knee.
  • For thigh-high and pantyhose: measure around your ankle, calf, and upper thigh. Then, measure the distance from the floor to your upper thigh (bottom of your buttocks).

An Important Measuring Tip...
If swelling is an issue with you, measure your legs, first thing in the morning, after you get out of bed. This is when swelling is at a minimum, and the size of your legs should remain once the swelling is eliminated. Each of our compression products has a sizing chart on the product page.

Measure around the ankle at the narrowest point, generally above the ankle bone.
Measure around the calf muscle at the widest part.
Measure from the floor to the bend behind the knee.
Measure around the thigh approx. 3" below the gluteal fold (crease of buttocks).
Measure the distance from the bottom of your buttocks to the floor.

Sizes may differ between various brands of support stockings. Keep in mind that each manufacturer of support hose has their own sizing chart. A medium size in one brand of circulation stockings, may not be a medium in another. Some brands of compression stockings offer petite (shorter) lengths, while others do not. Knowing your measurements will ensure you get compression hosiery that fits properly and comfortably.

I highly suggest that anyone suffering from chronic circulation issues look into purchasing the Forte. I wear these all the time, and they've done a lot of good for me.

These are definitely medical stockings that are actually comfortable. Lots of medical stockings I've tried do the job alright, but they really hurt. These however, feel great on my legs.

This line are my stockings on choice. I need something strong for my DVT, and these do the trick. They're comfortable too.

Low price tag and solid quality stockings are still being made in USA. What else can you ask for. One thing I forgot to mention. Only after a week of wearing them, I saw a significant decrease in my leg swelling!

TRUE FORM are the best for me. I started off trying the Jobst thigh high with silicone dots and they would NOT stay up. Even with minimal walking they would creep down to my knee. The Jobst also had no extra toe room and would eventually rip above my toe nails. Once I tried the TRUFORM, I was hooked. Two things I like about them. First, they stay up! I can walk for miles and they stay in place. Second, the closed toe version has extra room to accommodate your toes and keeps your nails from wearing holes in the seam. I realize everyone is different, but I highly recommend the TRUEFORM.
I recieved 2 socks but without any box or good packing.I was going to give them to my friend as a gift.and I gona to buy two other socks. I had no time to return them.the costomer servic guide me badly.I order TRUEFORM but she ordered me second skin by different price( on phone).she charged me 10$ more .I called she but she couldn't cancel it.I chated and called again but they couldn't do any thing .very bad Customer servic very bad delivery very bad packing .
