JOBST Relief Open Toe Pantyhose deliver 30-40 mmHg extra-firm prescription compression with the critical addition of an open toe for medical access and accommodation. Designed for the management of severe venous and lymphatic conditions requiring bilateral treatment, this waist-high garment provides maximum therapeutic pressure while allowing for toe monitoring, care, and comfort—often a medical necessity in intensive compression therapy protocols. Find your correct size for optimal therapeutic benefit.

As a globally trusted, physician-recommended brand, JOBST draws on decades of clinical expertise in venous and lymphatic care to ensure every compression garment meets rigorous medical standards.

This dual-feature design supports complex bilateral treatment protocols with patient-centered considerations. • Open Toe for High-Compression Medical Needs: Facilitates essential bilateral toe inspection, accommodates structural deformities, and reduces forefoot pressure—a design often medically mandated in severe cases involving diabetes, neuropathy, or significant toe pathologies.
  • Maximum Therapeutic Pressure (30-40 mmHg): Provides the high level of graduated compression required to manage massive bilateral edema, facilitate venous ulcer healing, and treat advanced post-thrombotic syndrome throughout both legs.
  • Complete Bilateral Limb Containment: The waist-high design ensures fluid reduction and support is applied to the entire lower extremity bilaterally, which is absolutely crucial for managing advanced bilateral lymphedema or severe bilateral venous disease.
  • Enhanced Practicality for Patient Care: Allows for easier application of prescribed topical medications, regular inspection for skin breakdown and circulatory changes, and accommodation of orthotic devices within the compression therapy regimen.
  • Robust, Medical-Grade Fabrication: Constructed with a 78% nylon, 22% spandex blend specifically engineered to sustain high compression forces and integrate with the open toe feature for long-term durability.
  • Promotes Adherence to Demanding Therapy: By simultaneously addressing critical comfort and practical needs, this design can be vital for a patient's ability to consistently follow a challenging high-compression bilateral regimen.
  • Facilitates Clinical Monitoring: The open toe enables healthcare providers to assess toe color, temperature, and capillary refill bilaterally during regular checkups without removing the compression.
  • Heavily Reinforced Construction: Features extra reinforcement in heel, waistband, and stress areas to withstand the extreme mechanical demands of extra-firm bilateral compression.
  • Manages Severe Lymphedema with Essential Toe Access: Provides the necessary high sustained bilateral pressure to reduce fluid accumulation and maintain limb volume while allowing for essential toe checks, daily hygiene, and reducing the risk of maceration complications.
  • Venous Ulcer Treatment with Patient-Focused Design: Supports the optimal healing environment for active bilateral venous leg ulcers while the open toe may significantly improve patient tolerance and allow for concomitant foot care.
  • Accommodates Patients with Significant Toe Pathologies: A medical necessity for those with severe hammer toes, claw toes, bunions, or thick fungal nails that cannot tolerate enclosed toes at high bilateral pressure levels.
  • Ideal for Diabetic Patients Requiring High Compression: Allows for critical visual bilateral foot inspection essential in diabetes care, though use requires specific vascular assessment (ABPI testing) and ongoing medical approval and monitoring.
  • Post-Thrombotic Syndrome (PTS) Management with Accommodation: Helps control severe PTS symptoms including pain, extensive bilateral swelling, and skin changes in patients who require both maximum compression and the accommodation of an open toe design.
  • Ensures Effective Delivery of Intensive Therapy: The combination of secure bilateral positioning and toe accommodation addresses two major barriers to successful high-compression treatment compliance and adherence.
  • Supports Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT): Essential component for severe bilateral lymphedema when toe involvement, monitoring, or separate toe bandaging is part of the comprehensive clinical protocol.
  • Enables Comprehensive Wound Care Access: Allows wound care specialists to monitor and treat bilateral leg ulcers while ensuring toes remain accessible for separate assessment, treatment, or diabetic precautions as medically necessary.
  • Spider veins
  • Varicose veins
  • Heavy or swollen legs
  • Chronic venous disease

I don’t think I like

"I don’t think I like these very much. But haven’t tried to get them on but once and I couldn’t do it then. Since then, I’ve had an accident and haven’t been able to try to get them on again. But I will try soon if I can’t wear them, I was in the back."

Worth the money

"These are so worth it if you need full length compression! Relatively easy to put on, they provide compression up to the top of the thigh while giving you a smooth silhouete under your garments. I got these on sale, so the price wasn't astronomical"

Overall pleased with purchase, great price

"Pleased with purchase. True to size. Dislike the visible line on both sides of legs. My other pair must have been another more expensive style."

"Seems to do the trick, but I got a run the very first time I put it on. Small run (1. 5 inch), which hasn't worsened). So incredibly difficult to put on. My medical condition requires me to keep my heart rate low, but putting them on had my heart rate way out of range for about 10 minutes of struggling. Not for the faint of heart, but, as I said, they do the trick and they were in my price range."
