Measure around the ankle at the narrowest point, generally above the ankle bone.
Measure around the calf muscle at the widest part.
Measure from the floor to the bend behind the knee.
Measure around the thigh approximately 3" below the gluteal fold (crease of the buttocks).
Measure the distance from the bottom of your buttocks to the floor.
Sizes may differ between various brands of support stockings—each manufacturer has their own sizing chart. A medium in one brand may not be a medium in another, and some brands offer petite (shorter) lengths while others do not. "They are easier to put on compared to other compression knee high(s). Unfortunately they are much more expensive than other compression knee highs. I do enjoy wearing these but I mix it up with other brands; however, I do find myself grabbing the Sigvaris to wear almost every time."
"I'be been wearing these exact same hose every day for over 36 years, due to multiple DVTs that blew out the valve in my ankle. Without them, my leg swells & gets tired with increased the possibility of abscesses. They keep the blood from pooling in my leg."

"I have been wearing the Sigvaris surgical stockings for quite some time now. I used to wear the brand Truform for many multiple years and a few years ago they changed their product from the rubber material to the nylon type material. The nylon type is just too difficult for me to put on my legs. Then I found the Sigvaris brand had a rubber material. I tried these and was hooked. These may be a bit more expensive but definitely so much easier to put on my legs, and what I need for my legs for compression."

"The Sigvaris product is the best I have ever used, although the foot length is a little short. I wear them every day and have for 25 years. I am 75. They really work. Not bragging but my dad suffered from bad varicose veins with multiple surgeries. My brother also. I have the legs of a 50 yr old with no varicosities. I was 50 when I started wearing Sigvaris 500 Natural Rubber Open Toe Knee Highs 30-40 mmHg - 503C - Beige / L4 . The only real problem is the very high cost. At around $100 per pair, and having to maintain several pair all the time, the cost is exorbitant for someone on Social Security fixed income. I may have to stop wearing them soon because of the high cost. Thank you."
