How to measure your legs for compression stockings, support socks, support hose, and gradient compression hosiery.
Where to Measure
- For knee-highs: measure around your ankle and calf. Then measure the distance from the floor to the back of your knee.
- For thigh-highs and pantyhose: measure around your ankle, calf, and upper thigh. Then measure the distance from the floor to your upper thigh (bottom of your buttocks).

How to Properly Measure and Apply Compression Stockings
The Key Measurements
Ankle
Measure around the ankle at the narrowest point, generally above the ankle bone.
Calf
Measure around the calf muscle at the widest part.
Length
Measure from the floor to the bend behind the knee.
Thigh
Measure around the thigh approximately 3" below the gluteal fold (crease of the buttocks).
Thigh Length
Measure the distance from the bottom of your buttocks to the floor.
Sizes may differ between various brands of support stockings—each manufacturer has their own sizing chart. A medium in one brand may not be a medium in another, and some brands offer petite (shorter) lengths while others do not. "Texted 3 times to get a refund on the second pair I bought. There was no support in the you stocking, my ankles were still very swollen. I called and spoke to Donna, she said , not to return them until I received the return label she was sending to my email. Never received it! I contacted PayPal then to get a refund. They contacted you & was told I never returned them, case closed. You never sent me the return label & im still out $48. 00. I would never suggest buying from your company to anyone. Diane Pagano"

"I love these knee highs except for one thing. The top band is tighter than any I have ever tried! I cannot wear them for more than one or two hours because they make a deep groove in my legs, which are small. Have you not had other complaints?! I am so disappointed. I hope you can fix this problem."
