How to measure your legs for compression stockings, support socks, support hose, and gradient compression hosiery.

Measure around the ankle at the narrowest point, generally above the ankle bone.
Measure around the calf muscle at the widest part.
Measure from the floor to the bend behind the knee.
Measure around the thigh approximately 3" below the gluteal fold (crease of the buttocks).
Measure the distance from the bottom of your buttocks to the floor.
Sizes may differ between various brands of support stockings—each manufacturer has their own sizing chart. A medium in one brand may not be a medium in another, and some brands offer petite (shorter) lengths while others do not. "I have a few pairs of JOBST knee high stockings and I like them (brocade) but these sheers, while the quality is there, the tops are very tight and hard to get on and off. I am thin so that is not the problem. Not happy with this purchase and not recommended."
