Frequently Asked Questions
How does the magnetic system work?
The aid has magnetic parts that hold the top of the stocking open. You place your foot in, then use the handles to pull the aid up your leg. The magnets release the stocking as you go, transferring it smoothly onto your limb.
How do I choose the right size for knee high compression stockings?
Accurate measurement is crucial. Please refer to our detailed compression stocking sizing guide.
Is it safe for someone with a pacemaker?
No. Due to the magnetic components, the Arion Magnide should not be used by individuals with pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), or other implanted electronic medical devices.
Can it be used for thigh-high stockings?
The medium size is typically designed for knee-high stockings. For thigh-highs, check if a larger Magnide model is available or consult the product specifications.
How do I clean it?
Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not submerge in water or use harsh chemicals that could corrode the magnetic components.
Will the magnets lose strength over time?
The magnets are designed for long-term use. However, avoid dropping or striking them against hard surfaces, as this could demagnetize or damage them.

Measuring Guide for Sizing of Compression Stockings
Measuring Guide
How to measure your legs for compression stockings, support socks, support hose, and gradient compression hosiery.
Where to Measure
- For knee-highs: measure around your ankle and calf. Then measure the distance from the floor to the back of your knee.
- For thigh-highs and pantyhose: measure around your ankle, calf, and upper thigh. Then measure the distance from the floor to your upper thigh (bottom of your buttocks).
An important measuring tip: take your measurements with a tape measure, as shown below. Sizing charts are located on every product’s “see details” page for your convenience. If you need further assistance, please call 1-800-504-7315 or Live Chat with us.

Length
Measure from the floor to the bend behind the knee.

Thigh
Measure around the thigh approximately 3 inches below the gluteal fold (crease of the buttocks).

Sizes may differ between various brands of support stockings—each manufacturer has their own sizing chart. A medium in one brand may not be a medium in another, and some brands offer petite (shorter) lengths while others do not.
