Description
JOBST UltraSheer compression stockings provide graduated compression and help improve blood circulation in the legs.* They are lightweight and offer a transparent look for fashionable, daily wear.
JOBST UltraSheer compression stockings help manage varicose veins* and tired, achy legs. Our medical compression garments are designed to counteract leg swelling. The garments apply gradient compression, meaning most pressure is on the ankle level, decreasing up the leg, correlating to the decreasing venous pressure.
Some of the key attributes of JOBST UltraSheer compression stockings include:
- Helps tired, achy legs.
- Supports circulation and helps energize legs.
- Moderate and firm compression helps to manage varicose veins.
The compression stockings are suitable for:
- Longer periods of sitting
- Longer periods of standing
- Traveling

Measuring Guide for Sizing of Compression Stockings
Measuring Guide
How to measure your legs for compression stockings, support socks, support hose, and gradient compression hosiery.
Where to Measure
- For knee-highs: measure around your ankle and calf. Then measure the distance from the floor to the back of your knee.
- For thigh-highs and pantyhose: measure around your ankle, calf, and upper thigh. Then measure the distance from the floor to your upper thigh (bottom of your buttocks).
An important measuring tip: take your measurements with a tape measure, as shown below. Sizing charts are located on every product’s “see details” page for your convenience. If you need further assistance, please call 1-800-504-7315 or Live Chat with us.
How to Properly Measure and Apply Compression Stockings
The Key Measurements

Ankle
Measure around the ankle at the narrowest point, generally above the ankle bone.

Calf
Measure around the calf muscle at the widest part.

Length
Measure from the floor to the bend behind the knee.

Thigh
Measure around the thigh approximately 3 inches below the gluteal fold (crease of the buttocks).

Thigh Length
Measure the distance from the bottom of your buttocks to the floor.
Sizes may differ between various brands of support stockings—each manufacturer has their own sizing chart. A medium in one brand may not be a medium in another, and some brands offer petite (shorter) lengths while others do not. Knowing your measurements will ensure you get compression hosiery that fits properly and comfortably. Sizing charts are located on every product’s “see details” page.
