Fit it snugly but never tightly enough to cause numbness, tingling, discolouration or increased pain, and loosen or remove it if any of these occur. Take care over broken or fragile skin and recent surgical sites, and consult your physician or a certified fitter before use if you have reduced sensation or a circulatory condition in the limb.

How do I fit and wear it?

Pull it on gently and smooth out any folds — a fold concentrates pressure in one spot. It should feel snug and even without pinching or leaving a deep mark. Build up wearing time gradually rather than wearing it all day from the start.

How do I care for it?

Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, close any hook-and-loop fastenings first so they do not catch the fabric, and air dry away from direct heat. Do not machine dry, bleach or iron. Remove any removable splint, stay or pad before washing.
