Stay cool but. . .

"It does not overheat you like many other wrist braces on the market which are made with neoprene or synthetic fibers. However, there is a clear design flaw. The split of the fabric falls on the back of your hand between the index and middle finger, this should be on the pinky side. This is a major flow because the fabric compresses your pisiform (pea-shaped carpal bone that sticks out on the side of the wrist) which is uncomfortable and becomes painful as time passes. Prolonged compression could lead to nerve injuries. Despite the discomfort, I kept it because I couldn't find any other alternative. At least this doesn't overheat and disturb my sleep. I wear it very loosely so compression on my pisiform is minimal and bearable, yet provides enough support to keep my wrist in neutral position while I sleep. It's mindboggling so many wrist braces out there yet most of them are poorly designed: do not offer proper support and/or improper design causes further injuries."

Best Brace I Can Find

"Years ago my orthopedist had given me a pair of canvas wrist braces for my carpal tunnel. They had cotton laces and worked well to keep my hands straight while I slept. Carpal tunnel went away when I changed professions. I gave my braces to a friend. Now 20 years later I am looking for similar brace, and lo and behold I couldn't find any canvas braces with laces. This brace is as close as I have found to what I once had. I'm not thrilled with the little metal bits that hold the laces, but otherwise these are excellent."
