Truform Classic Medical Thigh High, Open Toe 20-30 mmHg — Firm Full-Leg Support with a Silicone Dot Stay-Up Top

Truform Classic Medical open toe thigh highs deliver 20-30 mmHg firm graduated compression from ankle to mid-thigh, held in place by a silicone dot stay-up top designed to stay in place without constricting the leg. The classic smooth knit texture helps conceal unsightly conditions and can be worn over dressings. The open toe allows easy toe inspection and lets one size fit a range of foot dimensions. This sits in Truform's firm compression class, indicated for tired, aching legs, moderate varicosities, moderate edema, and post-sclerotherapy recovery.

  • 20-30 mmHg Firm Gradient: Truform measures the pressure gradient at six points from ankle to proximal thigh to check its distribution.
  • Concealing Smooth-Knit Fabric: A classic knit texture in basic neutral colours for all-occasion wear.
  • Silicone Dot Stay-Up Top: A silicone-lined band designed to keep the stocking in place through the day without constricting the leg.
  • Open Toe Design: Allows easy toe inspection and lets one size fit a range of foot dimensions.
  • Standard and Larger Sizes: Standard and larger sizes are available across the range.
  • Latex Free: Contains no natural rubber latex.
  • Helps Manage Moderate Varicosities: Supports distended superficial veins at the most widely prescribed compression class.
  • Helps Control Moderate Edema: Limits fluid accumulation along the lower limb through the day.
  • Helps Relieve Tired, Aching Legs: Counters the aching and heaviness associated with venous insufficiency.
  • Supports Pregnancy-Related Varicosities: Indicated for moderate varicosities that develop during pregnancy.
  • Aids Post-Sclerotherapy Recovery: Commonly prescribed after sclerotherapy and other vein procedures.
  • Helps Prevent Ulcer Recurrence: Sustained gradient pressure helps prevent recurrence of venous ulceration.
  • Tired, aching legs
  • Moderate varicosities
  • Moderate varicosities during pregnancy
  • Moderate edema
  • Post-sclerotherapy and other surgery

A unisex open toe thigh-high stocking from Truform's Classic Medical range, knit in a concealing smooth knit, finished with silicone dot top. It delivers 20-30 mmHg firm graduated compression. Most wearers are managing a diagnosed venous condition and wear it daily. Browse the Truform Classic Medical line.

The numbers are the pressure at the ankle, measured in millimetres of mercury, decreasing as the garment moves up the limb. At 20-30 mmHg this is Truform's firm class, and the most commonly prescribed level. Truform indicates it for tired aching legs, moderate varicosities, moderate varicosities during pregnancy, moderate edema, post-sclerotherapy and other surgery, superficial thrombophlebitis, and helping prevent recurrence of venous ulcerations. If you're unsure which level applies, our compression therapy guide explains each one, or see our varicose veins.

Compression sizing isn't standardised across brands — a Medium in one brand is often not a Medium in another, so go by your measurements rather than the size you wore last. Measure your ankle at its narrowest point, your calf at its widest and your thigh at its widest, first thing in the morning before swelling builds, against bare skin with the tape snug but not constricting. If your swelling has changed, or you've gained or lost weight, or you're recovering from surgery, re-measure rather than reordering your previous size. Our measuring guide walks through each measurement.

Firm and extra-firm garments are the hardest to put on, and most difficulty comes from technique rather than the garment. Turn the stocking inside out to the heel, work your foot in first, then roll it up the leg in stages rather than pulling from the top. Donning aids such as a stocking donner, donning gloves or a slip sock are worth considering. Full instructions are in our guide to putting on compression stockings.

Wash after each wear in cool or lukewarm water with a gentle solution — never fabric softener or bleach — and always air dry away from direct heat, since a machine dryer permanently damages the elastic. With daily wear and proper care, expect roughly three to six months before the compression declines, so most people rotate two pairs. Full instructions and washing solutions are in our care guide.

Truform

"I do natures walks and these help me very much."

Truform product are ok. But

"Truform product are ok. But with the shipping I had issues. UPS had kept changing the delivery schedules of their own and made me waiting for three consecutive days before I received the stockings. For you guys, I have a suggestion to make: please put the products in the cartoon (box) instead of mailing bags when someone is buying more than one pair. because my items arrived in the smashed boxes. Now it is not presentable if you have ordered it as gifts for someone. Hope I could make you understand. Sorry, I can't add photos or videos as I am out of town. If you want, I can send the video returning to Florida and that is first week of November."

Open toe compression stockings

"The foot part of the stocking is so short that it is difficult to keep it in place when adding socks or shoes. It rolls up. My old stockings have a longer foot and stay in place."

Truform Classic Medical Open Toe Thigh High Silicone Dot Top 20-30 mmhg

"Based on YOUR published measurements, I ordered a LARGE - too small - need an extra large. I need to EXHANGE but your site will on let me RETURN. This whole experience ordering from you has been a nightmare! If I do not hear from you today, 6/16/25, I plan on returning this purchase and order from someone else. Good grief"

Good quality, good service

"Good quality hose, and received the order quickly."

Sizing Runs Small1

"The sizing on these socks are smaller than other brands I have bought. I ordered large but should have gotten x-large. I have to really struggle to get them on (even with using the relief wear gloves I also ordered). Once on they help with the swelling in my legs. I may try extra large if I order again. l"

Diana R. (3/5)

Surprisingly comfy

"After total knee replacement my PT and surgeon suggested I get compression thigh highs. I was worried about comfort, fit ease of getting on etc. I may have ordered 1 size too big as they do come up pretty high on my thigh but they are very soft and comfortable ( surprisingly comfy I’d say!)"

how they make your legs feel [ Great ]

"they fit great and they make you legs feel good by the end of the day"

Rita C. (5/5)

Product as described.

"product as described, easy to put on and stays up with the rubber dots. The compression is good but as the day wore on it became very tight. I could not wear them all day. I evidently needed a bigger size but not available."

Janet N. (4/5)

Great stocking! Poor shipping instructions online!

"Great stockings , much better than hospital issued due to correct size and comfort band. However confusing website- ordered next day, but nowhere did it say, no weekends. In fact I called Sunday pm( online order Sat) & live rep spoke & said no weekend delivery- so much for next day, which I paid MORE than the stocking price for shipment! So, was my online order not really next day? They came on tues, but no notice about weekend orders! We needed them ASAP due to heart& surgery issues, then less than a week Dr said no need for them! Stockings were less than $39& Shipping was $44!!! Online ordering should have been clearer and then why was a live rep answering calls on a Sunday if they were closed? She was not help and I thought she could have tried to do something about shipping cost! Great product, but given stress hospital stress, we didn’t need extra waiting for a needed product!"
