How to measure your legs for compression stockings, support socks, support hose, and gradient compression hosiery.

Measure around the ankle at the narrowest point, generally above the ankle bone.
Measure around the calf muscle at the widest part.
Measure from the floor to the bend behind the knee.
Measure around the thigh approximately 3" below the gluteal fold (crease of the buttocks).
Measure the distance from the bottom of your buttocks to the floor.
Sizes may differ between various brands of support stockings—each manufacturer has their own sizing chart. A medium in one brand may not be a medium in another, and some brands offer petite (shorter) lengths while others do not. "The material has been changed to more polyester or something they are hard to pull off and I’ve wore hose since I was 23 and I’m 74 and just lately they feel different like to much poly or elastic or something. . and seems I always order same color and the are different each time!"
"I have worn the stockings only once at this point. I find that the fit is good, the wear feel is excellent, and the band did not roll. I can’t comment about how well they hold up yet, but based on their construction I am hopeful. My only negative comment has to do with the color. The color is reasonable, but I have extremely pale skin. Think Morticia from the Adams Family movie. There is no true color match for this skin tone."
