Truform Classic Medical Thigh High 20-30 mmHg — Firm Full-Leg Support with a Silicone Dot Stay-Up Top

Truform Classic Medical thigh highs deliver 20-30 mmHg firm graduated compression from ankle to mid-thigh, held in place by a silicone dot stay-up top designed to stay in place without constricting the leg. The classic smooth knit texture helps conceal unsightly conditions and can be worn over dressings. This sits in Truform's firm compression class, indicated for tired, aching legs, moderate varicosities, moderate edema, and post-sclerotherapy recovery.

  • 20-30 mmHg Firm Gradient: Truform measures the pressure gradient at six points from ankle to proximal thigh to check its distribution.
  • Concealing Smooth-Knit Fabric: A classic knit texture in basic neutral colours for all-occasion wear.
  • Silicone Dot Stay-Up Top: A silicone-lined band designed to keep the stocking in place through the day without constricting the leg.
  • Roomy Closed Toe Box: A roomy, reinforced toe box designed not to compress the toes.
  • Standard and Larger Sizes: Standard and larger sizes are available across the range.
  • Latex Free: Contains no natural rubber latex.
  • Helps Manage Moderate Varicosities: Supports distended superficial veins at the most widely prescribed compression class.
  • Helps Control Moderate Edema: Limits fluid accumulation along the lower limb through the day.
  • Helps Relieve Tired, Aching Legs: Counters the aching and heaviness associated with venous insufficiency.
  • Supports Pregnancy-Related Varicosities: Indicated for moderate varicosities that develop during pregnancy.
  • Aids Post-Sclerotherapy Recovery: Commonly prescribed after sclerotherapy and other vein procedures.
  • Helps Prevent Ulcer Recurrence: Sustained gradient pressure helps prevent recurrence of venous ulceration.
  • Tired, aching legs
  • Moderate varicosities
  • Moderate varicosities during pregnancy

A unisex closed toe thigh-high stocking from Truform's Classic Medical range, knit in a concealing smooth knit, finished with silicone dot top. It delivers 20-30 mmHg firm graduated compression. Most wearers are managing a diagnosed venous condition and wear it daily. Browse the Truform Classic Medical line.

The numbers are the pressure at the ankle, measured in millimetres of mercury, decreasing as the garment moves up the limb. At 20-30 mmHg this is Truform's firm class, and the most commonly prescribed level. Truform indicates it for tired aching legs, moderate varicosities, moderate varicosities during pregnancy, moderate edema, post-sclerotherapy and other surgery, superficial thrombophlebitis, and helping prevent recurrence of venous ulcerations. If you're unsure which level applies, our compression therapy guide explains each one, or see our varicose veins.

Compression sizing isn't standardised across brands — a Medium in one brand is often not a Medium in another, so go by your measurements rather than the size you wore last. Measure your ankle at its narrowest point, your calf at its widest and your thigh at its widest, first thing in the morning before swelling builds, against bare skin with the tape snug but not constricting. If your swelling has changed, or you've gained or lost weight, or you're recovering from surgery, re-measure rather than reordering your previous size. Our measuring guide walks through each measurement.

Firm and extra-firm garments are the hardest to put on, and most difficulty comes from technique rather than the garment. Turn the stocking inside out to the heel, work your foot in first, then roll it up the leg in stages rather than pulling from the top. Donning aids such as a stocking donner, donning gloves or a slip sock are worth considering. Full instructions are in our guide to putting on compression stockings.

Wash after each wear in cool or lukewarm water with a gentle solution — never fabric softener or bleach — and always air dry away from direct heat, since a machine dryer permanently damages the elastic. With daily wear and proper care, expect roughly three to six months before the compression declines, so most people rotate two pairs. Full instructions and washing solutions are in our care guide.

Reviews

Trueform thigh high closed toe socks.

"I sent these back to you for a refund unopened because I made a mistake. I bought thigh high compression socks and I ware knee high compression socks. My return requesting a refund was received June 1st in Utah. . My tracking number is 9400137903793357 912729. I received an email dated June 1st stating I won't get a refund because I didn't give a reason for the return. I called last week to give my reason for the return. I did not receive a return call. As of today I have not received a refund or store credit or have the socks returned. I am no longer a customer of Compressionsales."

Wonder

"The material has changed. The dots are painful on skin. Doesn't last as long like previous batches"

Sui L. (3/5)

Not too happy, are they truform rejects or seconds?

"I ordered three pair. One pair had a hole in the band area at the top. I stitched it closed. It doesn't show. That same stocking was smaller, and tighter than the mate, which was also tight. I haven't tried the other two pair. I have worn truform knee highs for 14 years purchased at Walmart without a problem."

Sheila C. (3/5)

Less expensive than the ones

"Less expensive than the ones I buy at the drug store and the right size. . . the drug store doesn't carry anything larger than 1 xl."

These stockings are well made

"These stockings are well made and comfortable. I have varicose veins and these compression stockings really help to relieve achy legs and ankle swelling. Also, the price is half what I paid at a medical supply store. I will definitely order again."
