Collection: Plus Size & Wide Calf Compression Socks & Stockings

Compression That Fits Fuller Legs

Effective compression depends entirely on proper fit — and for fuller calves, larger ankles, and bigger frames, that means stockings actually built for those dimensions. A standard sock stretched over a wide calf compresses unevenly and can cut in, while one that's too loose delivers no benefit. Our plus size and wide calf collection provides accurate graduated compression across extended sizes without rolling, binding, or constricting.

What 'Wide Calf' and 'Plus Size' Mean

  • Standard compression fits calves up to roughly 18 inches in circumference
  • Wide calf styles fit calves from about 18–22 inches
  • Plus size (bariatric) styles fit calves over 22 inches

Our plus size compression support hose range covers knee-high, thigh-high, and pantyhose styles from JOBST, Sigvaris, Juzo, and Truform in extended and bariatric sizes.

Compression Levels

Choose the level that matches your needs:

  • 15–20 mmHg (Moderate) — tired, aching legs, travel, pregnancy, and early varicose veins
  • 20–30 mmHg (Firm) — the most prescribed level: varicose veins, moderate swelling, recovery
  • 30–40 mmHg (Extra Firm) — severe swelling, lymphedema, and CVI, under medical guidance

Standard compression socks fit calves up to roughly 18 inches around. If your calf measures 18-22 inches, choose wide calf styles; over 22 inches, choose plus size or bariatric styles. Measuring in the morning gives the most accurate number.

Yes — when properly fitted. Graduated compression is about matching the garment to your measurements. Extended-size garments are engineered to deliver the same mmHg rating across larger dimensions without digging in at the band.

Support hose is the everyday term for graduated compression stockings. Plus size versions provide the same rated compression (15-20, 20-30, or 30-40 mmHg) in extended sizes for fuller calves, thighs, and waists, in knee-high, thigh-high, and pantyhose styles.

Rolling usually means the sock is too small for the calf, forcing the top band to fold. A correctly sized wide calf or plus size sock distributes pressure evenly, so the band stays put without cutting in.

JOBST, Sigvaris, Juzo, and Truform all produce dedicated extended-size lines. Truform offers strong value pricing; JOBST and Sigvaris offer the widest style ranges in extended sizing, including open-toe options.
