Second Skin Men's Dress Knee High 8-15 mmHg — Mild Below-Knee Support

Second Skin Men's Dress knee highs deliver 8-15 mmHg mild graduated compression from ankle to below the knee, held in place by a contemporary rib-knit cuff. Soft nylon-spandex in a contemporary rib knit that resembles a specialty-store dress sock. Available in Small to X-Large. This sits in the mild compression class, indicated for tired or heavy legs, mild puffiness in the ankle, leg or foot, long hours standing or seated, flights and long drives.

  • 8-15 mmHg Mild Gradient: Graduated pressure greatest at the ankle, decreasing along the limb.
  • Fabric: Soft nylon-spandex in a contemporary rib knit that resembles a specialty-store dress sock.
  • Rib-Knit Top: A contemporary rib-knit cuff.
  • Closed Toe: Roomy, reinforced toe box designed not to compress the toes.
  • Latex Free: Contains no natural rubber latex.
  • Eases Heavy, Tired Legs: Addresses the heaviness that builds through long periods on your feet or seated.
  • Limits End-of-Day Puffiness: Helps keep mild fluid build-up in the ankle and foot under control.
  • Assists Blood Flow: Gentle ankle-upward pressure works with the calf muscle pump to move blood back toward the heart.
  • Useful Before Symptoms Start: Mild compression is widely worn preventively rather than only once problems appear.
  • Covers the Whole Foot: Keeps the toes warm and pressure consistent across the foot.
  • Below-Knee Coverage: Pressure is concentrated over the calf and ankle, where lower-limb fluid gathers first.
  • Tired or heavy legs
  • Mild puffiness in the ankle, leg or foot
  • Long hours standing or seated
  • Flights and long drives
  • Swelling that stops below the knee
  • Varicose veins in the calf and ankle

The numbers are the pressure at the ankle in millimetres of mercury, decreasing along the limb. 8-15 mmHg is the mild class, indicated for tired or heavy legs, mild puffiness in the ankle, leg or foot, long hours standing or seated, flights and long drives. Our compression therapy guide explains each level.

Compression sizing isn't standardised across brands — a Medium in one brand is often not a Medium in another, so go by your measurements rather than the size you wore last. Measure first thing in the morning before swelling builds, against bare skin with the tape snug but not constricting, then match the result to the chart on this page. Our measuring guide walks through each measurement.

Turn the garment inside out to the heel, work the foot in first, then roll it up the limb in stages rather than pulling from the top, which stretches the band. Rubber gloves or a donning aid make it easier. Full instructions are in our guide to putting on compression stockings.

Wash after each wear in cool or lukewarm water with a gentle solution — never fabric softener or bleach — and air dry away from direct heat. Most people rotate two pairs so a clean, dry pair is always ready. Full instructions and washing solutions are in our care guide.

I purchased these socks, because

"I purchased these socks, because with the higher compression socks I had purchased in the past I would have burning and itching in my legs, and the swelling in my legs and ankles would not be reduced. I am still having the burning and itching in my legs with these socks, but the swelling in my legs and ankles has been reduced. I am currently washing the one pair that I have worn in the hope that it will make a difference. I plan to also try wearing the socks overnight to see what affect that may have. If I am still having the burning and itching in my legs and ankles than I plan to return the four pair of socks that I have not yet worn."
