Truform Ready-Wear Upper Extremity Gauntlet 20-30 mmHg — Firm Hand and Wrist Support

Truform Ready-Wear gauntlets deliver 20-30 mmHg firm graduated compression to the upper limb. The lightweight, air-permeable microfiber knit applies easily and stays comfortable through extended daily wear. They are designed to help manage swelling following trauma, surgery or radiation therapy, and fit from three simple measurements.

  • 20-30 mmHg Firm Gradient: Graduated pressure is greatest at the wrist and decreases up the arm.
  • Lightweight Microfiber Knit: Available in three standard sizes and basic neutral colours.
  • Open Finger Design: Leaves the fingertips free for full dexterity and grip.
  • Fits From Three Measurements: Ready-to-wear sizing needs only three simple measurements.
  • Latex Free: Contains no natural rubber latex.
  • Helps Manage Post-Treatment Swelling: Helps control swelling following trauma, surgery or radiation therapy.
  • Supports Lymphoedema Care: Provides consistent containment pressure on the upper limb between therapy sessions.
  • Encourages Lymphatic Return: Graduated pressure assists fluid movement from the hand and forearm upward.
  • Comfortable for Extended Wear: A breathable, air-permeable knit suits long daily wear.
  • Simple to Apply: Lightweight construction makes independent application realistic for most patients.
  • Available in Two Compression Classes: Moderate and firm options to match the prescribed level.
  • Upper-limb lymphoedema
  • Swelling following trauma or surgery
  • Post-radiation therapy swelling
  • Post-mastectomy oedema
  • Maintenance between therapy sessions
  • Prevention of swelling during air travel

A unisex gauntlet from Truform's Ready-Wear Upper Extremity range, knit in a lightweight microfiber knit. It delivers 20-30 mmHg firm graduated compression. Most wearers are managing swelling of the upper limb following trauma, surgery or radiation therapy. Browse our lymphedema range.

The numbers are the pressure at the ankle, measured in millimetres of mercury, decreasing as the garment moves up the limb. At 20-30 mmHg this is Truform's firm class, and the most commonly prescribed level. Truform indicates it for tired aching legs, moderate varicosities, moderate varicosities during pregnancy, moderate edema, post-sclerotherapy and other surgery, superficial thrombophlebitis, and helping prevent recurrence of venous ulcerations. If you're unsure which level applies, our compression therapy guide explains each one, or see our varicose veins.

Compression sizing isn't standardised across brands — a Medium in one brand is often not a Medium in another, so go by your measurements rather than the size you wore last. Measure around your palm and around the smallest part of your wrist. If your swelling has changed, or you've gained or lost weight, or you're recovering from surgery, re-measure rather than reordering your previous size. Our measuring guide walks through each measurement.

Gather the sleeve, place your hand through and draw it up the arm in stages, smoothing rather than pulling. Check there are no folds or bunching at the elbow, since a fold concentrates pressure in one spot. Rubber gloves help with grip. Full instructions are in our guide to putting on compression garments.

Wash after each wear in cool or lukewarm water with a gentle solution — never fabric softener or bleach — and always air dry away from direct heat, since a machine dryer permanently damages the elastic. With daily wear and proper care, expect roughly three to six months before the compression declines, so most people rotate two pairs. Full instructions and washing solutions are in our care guide.
