Truform Men's Dress Knee High 30-40 mmHg — Extra Firm Below-Knee Support with a Rib-Knit Top Band

Truform Men's Dress knee highs deliver 30-40 mmHg extra firm graduated compression from ankle to below the knee, held in place by a contemporary rib-knit cuff. Soft nylon-spandex in a contemporary rib knit resembles a specialty-store designer sock rather than a medical garment. This sits in Truform's extra firm compression class, indicated for severe varicosities, severe edema, lymphatic edema, chronic venous insufficiency, and the prevention and management of venous ulcerations.

  • 30-40 mmHg Extra Firm Gradient: Truform measures the pressure gradient at four points along the below-knee length to check its distribution.
  • Contemporary Rib-Knit Styling: Nylon-spandex knit suited to business or business-casual settings.
  • Rib-Knit Top Band: A contemporary rib-knit cuff that avoids the look of a medical garment.
  • Roomy Closed Toe Box: A roomy, reinforced toe box designed not to compress the toes.
  • Latex Free: Contains no natural rubber latex.
  • Helps Manage Severe Varicosities: Supports distended veins at the pressure class indicated for advanced varicose disease.
  • Helps Control Severe Edema: Limits fluid accumulation along the whole lower limb, including above the knee.
  • Supports Lymphatic Edema: Provides sustained containment pressure for lower-limb lymphoedema.
  • Supports Chronic Venous Insufficiency: Counters venous reflux and the aching, heaviness and skin changes of CVI.
  • Helps Prevent and Manage Venous Ulceration: Addresses the venous hypertension underlying skin breakdown.
  • Aids Post-Surgical Recovery: Commonly prescribed after vein procedures to support healing and reduce recurrence.
  • Severe varicosities
  • Severe or lymphatic edema
  • Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI)
  • Venous ulceration prevention and management
  • Post-thrombotic syndrome
  • Post-sclerotherapy and post-surgical recovery

Do not use compression stockings if the patient has any of the following conditions: severe arterial insufficiency, uncontrolled congestive heart failure, skin infections, red or sensitive skin, hardening of the skin or untreated leg ulcers. Consult physician before application for patients with: impaired sensitivity of the limb, sensitivity to the garment material, or any circulatory disorders.

A men's closed toe knee-high stocking from Truform's Men's Dress range, knit in a contemporary rib knit, finished with rib-knit top. It delivers 30-40 mmHg extra firm graduated compression. Most wearers are managing an advanced venous condition under clinical guidance. Browse our men's dress compression socks.

The numbers are the pressure at the ankle, measured in millimetres of mercury, decreasing as the garment moves up the limb. At 30-40 mmHg this is Truform's extra-firm class — the strongest standard level. Truform indicates it for severe varicosities, severe edema, lymphatic edema, chronic venous insufficiency, helping prevent and manage venous ulcerations, post-thrombotic syndrome, orthostatic hypotension, and post-sclerotherapy or post-surgical recovery. It is usually worn on a physician's or certified fitter's recommendation. If you're unsure which level applies, our compression therapy guide explains each one, or see our CVI options.

Compression sizing isn't standardised across brands — a Medium in one brand is often not a Medium in another, so go by your measurements rather than the size you wore last. Measure your ankle at its narrowest point and your calf at its widest, first thing in the morning before swelling builds, against bare skin with your foot flat and the tape snug but not constricting. If your swelling has changed, or you've gained or lost weight, or you're recovering from surgery, re-measure rather than reordering your previous size. Our measuring guide walks through each measurement.

Firm and extra-firm garments are the hardest to put on, and most difficulty comes from technique rather than the garment. Turn the stocking inside out to the heel, work your foot in first, then roll it up the leg in stages rather than pulling from the top. Donning aids such as a stocking donner, donning gloves or a slip sock are worth considering. Full instructions are in our guide to putting on compression stockings.

Wash after each wear in cool or lukewarm water with a mild detergent, avoid fabric softener and bleach, and air dry away from direct heat. Machine heat breaks down the elastic and shortens the sock's life. Full instructions and washing solutions are in our care guide.

I have had to wear

"I have had to wear compression socks since 16 years old due to varicose veins- these, by far, are the best fitting, most comfortable stockings I have purchased. This is my second time ordering these. I wear daily all day and am very active. . . I teach Zumba. . . The quality is excellent and they are the only stockings that I have not worn out!"

Best All Around value and AWESOME quality

"I have had to wear compression sock continuously since my 30's and I'm now 55. I am a very active person and these socks hold up going to the gym 6 days a week for all kinds of activity, especially Cardio group exercise. These hold up! I have bought some were almost 2X as much that didn't make it through two wearings without a seam failing. These are comfortable enough for wearing at the office all day as they could pass as nice dress socks then hold up under compression meggings like high end sports wear. I am replacing all my socks with these. . . . BY FAR the best value I have found anywhere!"
