Collection: Sigvaris Men's Compression Stockings and Socks

Sigvaris men's compression socks are commonly worn to help manage the discomfort and appearance of varicose veins, tired legs, and mild swelling. Graduated compression is strongest at the ankle and eases up the leg, supporting the upward flow of blood that varicose veins can slow — and SIGVARIS builds its men's range to look like everyday dress or casual socks rather than a medical device.

SIGVARIS has focused on venous health since 1864, with more than 160 years of medical-grade compression engineering behind every pair. Made in Switzerland and the United States, this men's collection includes dress and casual compression socks, knee-high stockings, thigh-highs, and open- or closed-toe options.

Compression levels for varicose veins and leg support

  • 15-20 mmHg (moderate): tired, aching legs, travel, and early varicose veins.
  • 20-30 mmHg (firm): the most commonly worn level for varicose veins, moderate swelling, and recovery.
  • 30-40 mmHg (extra firm): more advanced venous conditions, typically under medical guidance.

SIGVARIS has engineered premium compression since 1864 — over 160 years focused on venous health. Made in Switzerland and the United States, SIGVARIS is known for medical-grade compression that feels and looks more like fine hosiery than a medical device. For men, this means dependable graduated compression in styles designed to fit and flatter.

For everyday comfort and prevention, 15–20 mmHg. For diagnosed varicose veins or swelling, 20–30 mmHg is most commonly recommended. For lymphedema or severe edema, 30–40 mmHg under a doctor's care. Start at 15–20 mmHg with no diagnosis.

Measure your ankle and calf circumference (plus thigh and length for thigh-highs) in the morning before swelling, then match to the SIGVARIS chart on each product. Sizing is brand-specific, so use SIGVARIS's own chart rather than assuming your size from another brand.

SIGVARIS at 20–30 mmHg and above may be covered or FSA/HSA-eligible when prescribed for a diagnosed venous condition, with a prescription and diagnosis code. Over-the-counter levels without a prescription generally aren't covered. Check with your insurer.

Wash SIGVARIS gently — hand-wash or delicate machine cycle with mild soap, then air dry flat. Avoid the dryer, bleach, and fabric softener. Proper care keeps the compression accurate through the typical 4–6 month replacement cycle; rotating two pairs extends their life.
