Truform Women's Rib Pattern Trouser Socks 20-30 mmHg — Firm Below-Knee Support with an Extra-Wide Comfort Band

Truform women's rib pattern trouser socks deliver 20-30 mmHg firm graduated compression from ankle to below the knee, held in place by an extra-wide comfort band. Microfiber nylon makes the knit softer and cooler to wear than standard nylon, and the designer-knit pattern suits business and business-casual dress. The rib pattern is knit into the fabric rather than printed on it. This sits in Truform's firm compression class, indicated for tired, aching legs, moderate varicosities, moderate edema, and post-sclerotherapy recovery.

  • 20-30 mmHg Firm Gradient: Truform measures the pressure gradient at four points along the below-knee length to check its distribution.
  • Rib Pattern Knit: A delicate designer-knit pattern suited to business and business-casual wear.
  • Designer-Knit Pattern: Delicate microfiber-nylon patterns intended for business or business-casual wear.
  • Extra-Wide Comfort Band: A broad top band designed to spread pressure across the calf.
  • Roomy Closed Toe Box: A roomy, reinforced toe box designed not to compress the toes.
  • Latex Free: Contains no natural rubber latex.
  • Helps Manage Moderate Varicosities: Supports distended superficial veins at the most widely prescribed compression class.
  • Helps Control Moderate Edema: Limits fluid accumulation along the lower limb through the day.
  • Helps Relieve Tired, Aching Legs: Counters the aching and heaviness associated with venous insufficiency.
  • Supports Pregnancy-Related Varicosities: Indicated for moderate varicosities that develop during pregnancy.
  • Aids Post-Sclerotherapy Recovery: Commonly prescribed after sclerotherapy and other vein procedures.
  • Helps Prevent Ulcer Recurrence: Sustained gradient pressure helps prevent recurrence of venous ulceration.

Consult physician before application for patients with: impaired sensitivity of the limb, sensitivity to the garment material, or any circulatory disorders.

A women's closed toe trouser sock from Truform's Ladies' Pattern Socks range, knit in a soft microfiber nylon knit, finished with extra-wide comfort band. It delivers 20-30 mmHg firm graduated compression. Most wearers are managing a diagnosed venous condition and wear it daily. Browse our patterned compression socks.

The numbers are the pressure at the ankle, measured in millimetres of mercury, decreasing as the garment moves up the limb. At 20-30 mmHg this is Truform's firm class, and the most commonly prescribed level. Truform indicates it for tired aching legs, moderate varicosities, moderate varicosities during pregnancy, moderate edema, post-sclerotherapy and other surgery, superficial thrombophlebitis, and helping prevent recurrence of venous ulcerations. If you're unsure which level applies, our compression therapy guide explains each one, or see our varicose veins.

Compression sizing isn't standardised across brands — a Medium in one brand is often not a Medium in another, so go by your measurements rather than the size you wore last. Measure your ankle at its narrowest point and your calf at its widest, first thing in the morning before swelling builds, against bare skin with your foot flat and the tape snug but not constricting. If your swelling has changed, or you've gained or lost weight, or you're recovering from surgery, re-measure rather than reordering your previous size. Our measuring guide walks through each measurement.

Firm and extra-firm garments are the hardest to put on, and most difficulty comes from technique rather than the garment. Turn the stocking inside out to the heel, work your foot in first, then roll it up the leg in stages rather than pulling from the top. Donning aids such as a stocking donner, donning gloves or a slip sock are worth considering. Full instructions are in our guide to putting on compression stockings.

Wash after each wear in cool or lukewarm water with a mild detergent, avoid fabric softener and bleach, and air dry away from direct heat. Machine heat breaks down the elastic and shortens the sock's life. Full instructions and washing solutions are in our care guide.
