Collection: Petite & Short Compression Socks & Stockings

Compression Sized for Shorter Legs

Standard compression stockings are designed for average leg lengths — and on shorter legs, they bunch, roll, and deliver compression in the wrong places. Petite and short compression stockings are sized specifically for shorter calf and leg lengths, so the graduated pressure lands exactly where it should: firmest at the ankle, easing correctly up the leg.

Compression Levels

Choose the level that matches your needs:

  • 15–20 mmHg (Moderate) — tired, aching legs, travel, pregnancy, and early varicose veins
  • 20–30 mmHg (Firm) — the most prescribed level: varicose veins, moderate swelling, recovery
  • 30–40 mmHg (Extra Firm) — severe swelling, lymphedema, and CVI, under medical guidance

Measure the length from the floor (or your ankle bone) to the bend of your knee. If standard knee-highs ride up too high, bunch behind your knee, or feel too long, you likely need a petite or short length. Petite sizing accounts for a shorter ankle-to-knee measurement so the compression lands correctly.

Length affects how graduated compression works. A too-long stocking places its pressure zones in the wrong spots and bunches at the ankle or knee, which is uncomfortable and reduces effectiveness — bunched fabric can even create a tourniquet effect. Correct length keeps the firmest pressure at the ankle where it belongs.

Petite and short lengths are available across the standard range — 15–20, 20–30, and 30–40 mmHg — though selection varies by brand. If you need a specific level in a petite length, our fitters can help you find the right option.

You need two measurements: your calf circumference at its widest point and your ankle-to-knee length, both taken in the morning before swelling. Match both to the petite/short size chart on the product. Our Measuring Guide shows exactly how, and fitters can confirm by phone.

Yes — petite and short stockings deliver the same mmHg graduated compression as regular lengths. They're simply proportioned for shorter legs so the pressure zones land correctly. You get full therapeutic benefit with a fit that doesn't bunch or roll.
