SIGVARIS Dynaven (970 series) is a medical compression stocking used for varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), post-sclerotherapy and post-ablation recovery, moderate leg swelling, and everyday venous support. It is particularly recommended after vein procedures as a comfortable, durable transitional stocking. At 20–30 mmHg it addresses the most common clinical needs; 30–40 mmHg is used for more significant venous conditions.

Dynaven (970 series) uses a microfibre construction that is softer and more comfortable than the standard SIGVARIS Soft Opaque (840 series), which has a smoother but slightly firmer feel. Select Comfort (860 series) is known for its exceptional stretchability and ease of donning, making it popular for patients who struggle to apply compression. Dynaven sits between these — softer than standard opaque, and a practical clinical choice for post-procedural and everyday medical use. All three meet the same mmHg compression standards.

SIGVARIS Dynaven at 20–30 mmHg and above may be covered by insurance or eligible for FSA/HSA reimbursement when prescribed by a physician for a diagnosed venous condition. You will typically need a prescription and diagnosis codes. Coverage varies by insurer and plan. Dynaven is especially well suited for patients recovering from sclerotherapy, laser ablation, or phlebectomy — procedures that require consistent daily compression during healing. The softer microfibre construction makes it more comfortable for extended post-procedural wear than standard cotton or nylon-based medical stockings. It is also a strong choice for patients with sensitive skin who have experienced irritation from firmer medical compression fabrics.

SIGVARIS Dynaven is sized by leg measurements — ankle circumference, calf circumference, and calf length for knee-highs; add thigh circumference for thigh-highs. Measure in the morning before swelling builds, and match to the Dynaven-specific size chart, as SIGVARIS sizing varies between series. Correct sizing is especially important at 20–30 mmHg and above, where too-small sizing creates excessive pressure and too-large sizing fails to deliver therapeutic compression.
