Key Features
- Complete Toe-to-Thigh (TTF) Coverage: Single system provides compression from the toes to the thigh, ensuring no area of the lower limb is untreated.
- Multiple Adjustable VELCRO® Bands: Features several separate bands for precise adjustment of compression at different points along the leg, enabling a true graduated pressure gradient.
- Customizable Compression Gradient: Apply higher pressure distally (at the foot/ankle) and gradually less pressure proximally (up the thigh), mimicking the ideal therapeutic pattern.
- Complete VelcroPack System: Ready-to-use pack with all necessary components for immediate start of therapy.
- Professional-Quality Home Therapy: Brings the principles of in-clinic, multi-layer gradient bandaging into a manageable format for patient self-care.
- Adjustable Throughout the Day and Treatment: Bands can be individually tightened or loosened to accommodate swelling fluctuations from toe to thigh.
- Ideal for Bilateral or Whole-Limb Lymphedema: Provides a systematic approach for managing edema affecting the entire leg, including the foot.
- Promotes Patient Independence in Complex Care: Empowers individuals to manage comprehensive lower extremity edema at home with a structured system.
Therapeutic Benefits and Use
- Manages Complete Leg Lymphedema (Primary or Secondary): Provides comprehensive compression to reduce limb volume and control symptoms throughout the entire lower extremity.
- Effectively Controls Bilateral Lower Extremity Edema: Systematic solution for swelling affecting both legs, often due to systemic conditions or advanced venous/lymphatic disease.
- Supports Treatment of Advanced Chronic Venous Disease: The toe-to-thigh gradient addresses the full scope of venous hypertension, from foot ulcers to thigh varicosities.
- Facilitates Post-Surgical Lymphatic Management: Essential for recovery after surgeries that impact lymphatic drainage in the leg, such as cancer-related lymph node dissection.
- Manages Complex Phlebolymphedema Involving the Foot and Leg: Effective for combined disorders where both systems are compromised, requiring full-leg gradient compression.
- Aids in Severe Venous Insufficiency with Foot Involvement: Provides the necessary compression gradient to address swelling, skin changes, and ulcer risks from the toes upward.
- Ideal for Primary Lymphedema Management: Offers a complete and adjustable long-term therapy option for congenital or developed lymphedema affecting the whole leg.
- Enables Structured Decongestive Therapy at Home: Serves as the maintenance phase component of Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), allowing continued control of whole-leg edema.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is applying a TTF system different from a standard legpiece?
Application is more involved as you must apply and adjust multiple bands in sequence from toe to thigh to create the correct gradient. It requires more time and training but offers more complete and precise therapy for whole-leg edema.
How do I choose the right size for a TTF system?
Professional fitting is highly recommended due to complexity. Measurements are needed at multiple points from foot to thigh. Use the detailed sizing guide, ideally with assistance from a therapist, especially for the first purchase.
Can I use this if I only have swelling in my calf?
A TTF system is overkill for isolated calf swelling. A standard knee-high legpiece or stocking would be more appropriate and easier to manage. The TTF is for when the foot and/or thigh are also involved.
How long does it take to put on a TTF legpiece?
It takes longer than a standard garment—typically 10-20 minutes, especially when learning. With practice, time improves. The therapeutic benefit for whole-leg edema often justifies the extra time.
How do I create the correct pressure gradient?
The general rule is to apply the highest tolerable pressure at the most distal point (ankle/foot) and progressively reduce the tension with each subsequent band moving up the leg. Your therapist should provide specific guidance.
Is this system covered by insurance for lymphedema?
Many insurance plans, including Medicare, cover gradient compression garments and systems for lymphedema when prescribed. The TTF system, as durable medical equipment (DME), may be eligible. Check with your provider and supplier.

Measuring Guide for Sizing of Compression Stockings
Measuring your legs for compression stockings, support socks, support hose, and gradient
compression hosiery:.
-
For knee-highs: measure around your ankle and calf.
Then, measure the distance from the floor to the back of your knee. -
For thigh-high and pantyhose: measure around your ankle, calf, and
upper thigh.
Then, measure the distance from the floor to your upper thigh (bottom of your buttocks).
An Important Measuring Tip...
Take your measurements, as shown below with a tape measure. Sizing charts are located on every product "see details" page for your convenience. If you need further assistance, please call 1-800-504-7315 or Live Chat with us.
How to Properly Measure and Apply Compression Stockings
Sizes may differ between various brands of support stockings. Keep in mind that each manufacturer of support hose has their own sizing chart. A medium size in one brand of circulation stockings, may not be a medium in another. Some brands of compression stockings offer petite (shorter) lengths, while others do not. Knowing your measurements will ensure you get compression hosiery that fits properly and comfortably. Sizing charts are located on every product "see details" page for your convenience.
